There are a few accessories a man can use to accentuate his own wardrobe. It’s the case that most advertise more to women, but that doesn’t mean that men aren’t a part of the fashion force or that they don’t care about their own personal sense of style. Men are a big market and as a man in today’s increasingly fashion conscious world, the right accessory to the outfit can transform a man’s image and there stature in any situation. Here are some tips for the fashion conscious man to take his look up to the next level.

The first thing that a man can do to upgrade the style of his wardrobe is the use of a nice tie. Now, with a suit this has always been a staple, but in the business casual setting there are a number of men who are ditching the tie and going with the open shirt collar. There is nothing wrong with this method thinking but it creates a very relaxed look. These days a nice tie will make the difference in business casual to business professional.

The key to picking a good tie can be the difference between someone who has their sense of style and self together and those who feel a little lost amongst the big players. Ties should also try to blend with the shirt. The best way to do this is to pick a tie that has a splash of color that matches the shirt. It’s important to remember not to get a tie that has mismatching stripes. As a matter of fact it makes the most sense to just get a plain shirt and go with the striped tie or the reverse. A nice tie can really make a difference in the presentation of the person. It’s should be something that even the casual business person puts into their wardrobe. It will make a big difference for them.

Not every man is well versed on how to present themselves in the best fashion possible. They don’t always feel like they have the time or the energy to put an outfit together that really works. It’s not easy to know how to assemble the perfect outfit. For most men the key is about not making bad choices as opposed to making out of the box type choices. For this reason alone there are a few simple fashion rules that men should take heed of to create a basic sense of style in all occasions.

The Pants Rule

Men get this wrong all the time. There is a right way and a wrong wear to wear pants. The distinguishing factor is the type of pants. For instance, suit pants should always be worn by the belly button. Wearing them at the hip makes them look like they slouch on a man. The point of a suit pant is to give a long, slimming effect.

Jeans on the other hand are meant to have a more casual look. These should be worn at the hip. This is an important distinction to note when measuring for the size of the pants. Suit pants should be a much bigger waist than the jeans are.

Stripes

There are a number of men who don’t know what to do with stripes. It certainly happens that there are men out there who don’t know the simplest of the fashion rules: do not mix stripes. This happens a lot when it comes to shirts and ties. Men will often wear a tie that has horizontal stripes, but then have a shirt that has vertical stripes. This creates a chaotic presentation. It’s disjointed to those he comes in contact with and it’s something that a man is better off avoiding. Taking heed of these fashion rules will keep a man looking stylish and sophisticated at all times.

Being a fashionable male is easier than most people think. In order for a man to look his best he doesn’t need to shop at the big name stores or spend thousands on the best suits money can buy. All the fashionable male needs to be able to do is to follow simple fashion tips at all times and sticking to the plan is a great way for him to feel in control of his style and feel the power that comes from being at the height of men’s fashion. Here are three simple fashion tips for today’s man.

For starters every man must be equipped with a dark blue suit. There are other colors and styles to get into later, but an understated suit will be good in any occasion. It’s the staple to a top of the line wardrobe.

The next thing to remember is that the shoes should match the best. This can be ignored a bit in casual settings(although it is preferred that they match in all settings) but in a business sitting it is of the utmost importance. It will mean that the man is someone who understands how to make a good impression without really trying. He understands the basics.

The best looking men are those that take care of their face as much as they take care of the cleanliness of their clothes. Don’t underestimate a man’s need to have a clean shave. If a man is feeling and looking clean then people will take him seriously. A man should invest in a good razor and that man should shave well every morning. If the quick growth of facial hair is a problem then a man should be prepared to do a touch up in the afternoon, especially if there is an appointment at night that calls for it. These are the basics that will keep a man making a fresh impression every day they are out in the world.
